I agree, 9 stars makes me feel like I've achieved more and any more than that would probably just get silly, so I like 9 stars. The Shogun 2 system just seemed to me completely impersonal, I was never attached to the generals like I was in Medieval 2 or even Empire.Īlso, what do you guys think? 6 stars or 9? For me it felt more accomplising to reach the 9 star general than the 6. I'm pretty sure CA has already looked into this from what they have said of making it more personal and also adding a similar system to Legions. That way we can personalise generals with the new rpg system up to three ancilliaries but you will be able to gain more (good or bad) according to what they do. Get the Shogun 2 system (you could add chavalry, piety or whatever too) and keep it the same but leave space for more traits and ancilliaries that appear 'randomly' according to what that general has done like in Medieval 2. The solution to merge Shogun 2 and Medieval 2 would be simple. I completely agree that generals should work more like they did in Medieval 2.
